Military Family -- Iron Sharpens Iron Program:

THE REAL TRUTH ABOUT MILITARY FAMILY INITIATIVES

The P2C Athlete Prep in collaboration with Pathway 2 College Prep and Promotional Services is providing FREE College Marketing and Promotional Advice to all military families in The State Of Texas during the months of September & October 2019. This advice is exclusively about how to use your Military Scholarship Initiatives with your sports athletics to get to college. The advice will be on:

* What is a full ride and what colleges are giving them?

* How to get a preferred walk on using your military initiatives?

* How to use the Post Graduate Program using your military initiatives to get into the Post Graduate Program (unsigned senior)

*Which Military initiatives you are entitled to by law?

Military Parents and Players are in category of their own when it comes to getting to college on athletics and academics. But you MUST start early to understand what you are able to use.

Coaches in sports symposium:  Let's come together and have an open discussion on how to effectively change how youth sports in the Borderland is viewed.  Together we can talk the tough questions on how to start maximizing the exposure of the borderland youth and how to make them college ready academically and athletically.

College Visits:  From 21 June 2020 to 27 July 2020, 45 student-athletes in grades 10th through 12th will be given the opportunity to participate in college visits at 10+ campuses across the state of Texas.  Student Athletes will travel from El Paso, TX to Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas, TX.  These academic visits will allow student athletes to make more informed decisions about colleges at the different playing levels:  NCAA DI, DII, DIII, and NAIA.

Students will travel by bus and will conduct college tours in the above cities.  Additionally, students will be staying in the local hotels and be allowed to experience the local communities to better help them make a decision on colleges to attend.

SAT/ACT Prep Courses:  In an effort to help student athletes score higher on their standardized test in order to help them qualify for additional funding for college, we will be hosting both an SAT and an ACT Prep course for up to 25 student athletes in each course.  Students will participate in this 6-week prep program led by Kaplan.

     SAT Prep Course

          - Will focus on the 6 June 2020 SAT test date.  Registration for this event will open 1 October and will be on a first come basis.  Payments for the SAT Prep course taught by Kaplan will begin in October with final payment being made 1 April 2020.

     ACT Prep Course

          - Will focus on the 18 July 2020 ACT test date.  Registration for this event will open 1 October and will be on a first come basis.  Payments for the ACT Prep course taught by Kaplan will begin in November with final payment being made 1 May 2020.
